Welcome to the Citroen Car Club
The Club for Citroën enthusiasts everywhere
For more information, telephone 07000 248 258
We've been looking after Club members since 1949 so we know what we're talking about when it comes to Citroën the marque, its heritage and that elusive ingredient that makes these cars so special, even today. Clearly, it's a combination of our name, reputation and experience that accounts for the 4000+ Citroën vehicles in our ranks. In fact, it's probably fair to say that many of the older models wouldn't be on our roads today if this Club hadn't provided timely expert advice and technical camaraderie to model owners during this period. But times have changed and now it's not just technical advice that matters to our members. We see more and younger members joining us with sporty Saxos, wicked C2s, trendy C3s, family C5s and spacious C8s. In fact there are as many new cars as air-cooled ones in our ranks, although the older classics and affordable (5+ years old) do make up the majority today.
Regardless of your choice of Citroën model, we're sure you'll find something for your needs within our Club services today.

Citroën is kicking off Christmas in style at its Champs-Élysées showcase, the C_42, with a new seasonal exhibition and an exciting competition giving visitors a once-in-a-lifetime chance to go head-to-head in a race against Citroën’s five-time, World Rally Champion, Sébastien Loeb, in the stunning GTbyCITROËN – the real world concept car designed for PlayStation’s virtual racing game Gran Turismo.
From the 12th to the 18th December, visitors to C_42 are able to set a qualifying time driving GTbyCITROËN on a special Gran Turismo simulator. The 20 fastest entrants will be invited back to C_42 on the 20th December to battle it out for a place in the grand final. In a thrilling competition climax, four finalists will take on Citroën’s WRC team, Sébastien Loeb, Daniel Elena, Dani Sordo and Marc Marti, to crown the fastest gamer.
This new exhibition presents the sporty, stylish and dynamic qualities of the marque. Taking centre stage on the C_42’s amazing revolving rotunda is the real life version of the jaw-dropping race-car concept; GTbyCITROËN. Joining the virtual supercar is Citroën’s first ever ‘Grand Tourer’ – the SM, along with the environmentally-conscious performance car concept, C-Métisse and the road going sporty new C4 VTS.
During the festive season, a specially designed giant silver “Christmas tree” towering 20 metres high will stand behind the C_42’s magnificent glass and steel façade. The work of renowned French architect, Manuelle Gautrand, C_42 was the first new building on the world famous boulevard for more than 30 years on a site that has been owned by Citroën since 1927.

Hypnos, Citroën’s spectacular crossover concept which wowed the crowds at the Paris Motor Show, has just been named ‘Concept Car of the Year 2008’ at the prestigious Autocar Magazine awards.
Managing Director of Citroën UK, Xavier Duchemin, commented; “This is a great honour for Citroën, a fantastic accolade for the Hypnos concept and major recognition of the exciting new direction of Citroën design. Although Hypnos is a concept its innovative diesel electric hybrid will become available on our future models and this bold, confident new styling is evident in our upcoming vehicles such as the C3 Picasso.”
Inside, Hypnos is packed with innovative features and futuristic technology such as thermo-sensitive ambient lighting, a unique faceless clock and diamond-shaped instrument clusters. The bold interior also features four morphologically-sculpted seats arranged in a DNA double helix-inspired configuration with pivotal blades housing features like the air-conditioning. The vibrant, rainbow colouring of the interior, offset by the car’s moody grey exterior, challenges the preconceived notions of the ‘executive vehicle’ and showcases Citroën’s creative flair and daring originality.
Outside, the elegant and distinctive Hypnos combines the styling cues of a sporty coupé, the serene comfort of a saloon and the practical space of an SUV. The Hypnos also exercises Citroën’s green credentials with a new 4WD hybrid drive train combining a powerful and efficient 200hp 2.0 HDi engine with an electric motor for economic performance and zero-emission driving.
Citroën designer becomes inaugural winner of Autocar’s Automotive Leader of the Future award
Thirty-two-year-old British car designer Leighanne Earley has won Autocar’s inaugural Automotive Leader of the Future award. The commendation was presented at the Autocar Awards 2008, held at the Royal Horticultural Halls, London, and has been conceived to give credit to young and talented Britons working anywhere within the global car industry.
Earley, an interior designer with French car maker Citroën, enrolled on Coventry University’s Transport Design course in 1995, and was this year responsible for the audacious cabin of the Citroën Hypnos show car, itself the recipient of Autocar’s Concept Car of the Year award.
The Hypnos’s cabin is remarkable for its use of colour, its asymmetrical layout and its organic, spiral design. “It’s full of imaginatively sculpted surfaces,” said Autocar editor-in-chief Steve Cropley, “and yet manages to gel perfectly with the Hypnos’s elegant exterior.”
Born in Greenock, Scotland, Earley worked at Lincoln’s design centre in California between her current stint with Citroën and her first, which began shortly after she graduated from Coventry. Before the Hypnos, she contributed to the cabin designs of the equally bold Citroën C-Buggy and C-Cactus concepts.
Earley is the first winner of an award that will only ever be given to fast-rising British stars of the automotive scene. “There are so many young, gifted Britons working in the car industry,” said Cropley. “We hope to bring a few of them some greatly deserved recognition with this award, and in doing so help to cement this country’s reputation as the world’s richest breeding ground for talented car makers.”
Lynda Pickess, Managing Partner of Courland Automotive, said “We are absolutely delighted that Leighanne is to receive this new award, she is proof that the automotive stage is a place for women to shine as well as men. We look forward to watching her progress over the years that follow”.

Citroën’s Sébastien Loeb staked his claim to a place in rallying’s record books this weekend by clinching an unprecedented fifth consecutive FIA World Rally Championship.
Third place for Loeb’s Citroën C4 WRC in Rally Japan, the penultimate round of the 2008 season, was enough to put the title out of reach of his rivals. Loeb and his co-driver, Daniel Elena, now hold a unique record, as their five titles eclipse the previous record of four that they shared with Juha Kankkunen and Tommi Makinen.
Sébastien is now promising to go flat out at the season’s finale in three weeks, the Wales Rally GB, to secure the manufacturer’s title for Citroën alongside his driver’s championship.
“It’s a fantastic feeling,” beamed Loeb. “I really wanted to wrap up the title in Japan to enable us to go into Wales Rally GB with a totally free mind. That made the weekend very long and frustrating. The title just seemed to loom larger after every stage, but it was well worth the wait in the end.”
Loeb and Elena have dominated world rallying since 2004, initially with the Citroën Xsara and, more recently, with the all-conquering C4. The pair has scored 10 wins so far in ’08.
